BAJA 5) Settling down: Cerritos and La Ventana

Day 10-16: Todos Santos, Cerritos, Pescadero

It was very go-go-go for the first ten or eleven days and I decided to stay put in Cerritos to finally relax, catch up on work, and practice surfing. I watched many more sunrises and sunsets, caught some nice drone shots, and did some much needed adulting AKA laundry and car cleaning. It was a nice break but there are not as many epic photography opportunities when staying in one place.

Day 17 - 24: La Paz and La Ventana

The gang regrouped in La Paz for a house party that our dive master (from two weeks ago) invited us to. It was a great time with lots of tequila and then Daniel gave me a lift on his scooter to get tacos at 2a.m. I then went up to La Ventana to see what this kiteboarding thing was about. I was blown away! (pun intended)

We mostly camped at South Beach as it was close to town, had the place to ourselves, and there was a nice palapa with a raised platform that was great for morning yoga. There was also a sea turtle nest nearby and a volunteer would stop by every morning at sunrise to collect the new hatchlings and take them to a safer spot. One guy hatched afterwards so I guarded him from predators until he made it to the sea.

We also did a few snorkeling sessions in the morning when the water is calm before the wind picks up.
